Description

About this CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce Course

The CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) course is perfect for anyone looking to undertake a fully regulated qualification which results in a full license to practice in the early years sector. The qualification will allow you to work in a nursery setting and count towards staff ratios as a fully licensed Level 3 practitioner.

Through a combination of online written assignments and tasks, learners on this qualification will cover the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how it relates to children from birth to 5 years. The qualification also covers knowledge up to 7 years of age but practical assignments are only in the age ranges 0-5 years. A placement is required to undertake this qualification and this must be in a setting which will allow you to work with children in the following age ranges:

  • 0 – 1 year 11 months
  • 2 – 2 years 11 months
  • 3 – 5 years

A 350 hour placement must be completed as part of this qualification within an early years setting. This placement will be where learners undertake their practical assignments which will be monitored by a Workplace Assessor. Your Workplace Assessor will be a senior member of staff who is able to provide observation statements around the learner’s competency. Any Workplace Assessor must be aware of their role and be happy to devote some of their time to carrying out observations as well as undertaking standardisation sessions set within the qualification. It is estimated that this will take the Workplace Assessor between 9-12 hours in total throughout the duration of the qualification. All Workplace Assessors must be fully qualified to Level 3 in Early Years, have up-to-date CPD and a good background in early years settings.

Qualification code 601/2147/6. This qualification meets the UK government requirement to be deemed full and relevant and allows practitioners to work as a fully qualified level 3 practitioner in an early years setting.
